| The Executive Director of Development will report directly to the Associate Vice President for Development/Chief Development Officer and will manage a fundraising and donor stewardship portfolio to advance institutional philanthropic priorities. The Executive Director of Development will serve as the primary director of development for two colleges, the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) and the College of Education and Integrative Education (CEIS). In addition to leading development and fundraising efforts for these two colleges, the Executive Director will have oversight of directors of development for the following colleges/areas: Huntley College of Agriculture, College of Environmental Design, Athletics, and the Division of Student Affairs.
The Executive Director will also lead efforts to advance fundraising and development for Future Career Paths, one of three institutional philanthropic priorities, and special university programs targeting major donors. The Executive Director will also work closely with the AVP for Development/CDO in staffing the Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation's Donor Engagement and Stewardship Committee, and the University Advancement Chief of Staff in the development and execution of a comprehensive communications framework.
The Executive Director for Development is one of two such positions; the second position has responsibility and oversight of the following colleges/areas: Business, Hospitality Management, Science, Engineering, and the University Library. Both Executive Directors will be required to work in strategic partnerships to build and implement the university's philanthropic agenda, as well as collaborate within and beyond University Advancement. |
