Position Information     

This is a full-time, temporary position.

** Successful candidates in these temporary appointments may be appointed from a few days up to one year depending on the assignment.  Temporary appointments must end on or before the end of the fiscal year (June 30th of the following year), with the possibility of renewal.

Special Working Conditions:

This position may require the incumbent to be on-call 24/7 to assist in revolving emergency or urgent issues. The incumbent is required to maintain contact with their campus outside of their normal working hours on a regular basis via the separate On-Call Procedures. Remote contact shall include telephone, cell phone, wireless data access device, remote monitoring of any hardware or software device, and/or electronic mail notification regarding the status of a campus system. Must be willing to travel and attend training programs off-site.

Conditions of Employment        

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.  CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.  Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

The salary range for this classification is $3,897 - $7,051 monthly. 

Major Duties

Under the general supervision of the AVP, University Effectiveness, Planning, and Analytics and in collaboration with the Designer for Workforce Integration Program Development, the Workforce Integration Analyst will be responsible for the study and analysis of Workforce Integrations project(s). As part of a team, this incumbent will execute information gathering and Analysis, provide administrative and budget support by assisting with budget and personnel tracking and reporting, program research, as well as assessment and evaluation in support of the day-to-day administration of the Workforce Integration Program. This position works with analysts, faculty, student interns, and subject matter experts to advance understanding of how to better prepare students for their careers and futures, and how to engage with employers to build better experiences for employees.)

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field of undergraduate study and training and administrative work experience equivalent to at least three years involving progressive professional job-related experience.

Substantial work experience with efficient uses of software for program tracking and management and experience learning new office support technology systems and software packages quickly preferred.

• Demonstrated concern for at-risk populations on campus, through past experiences in tutoring, mentoring, or similar experiences
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse students’ and co-workers’ needs through combined training and experience among population groups normally underrepresented in college settings
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work, and complete assignments independently as well as work in a team environment.
• Able to take full accountability for workflow and completion of work.
• Ability to monitor project budget
• Ability to maintain complete discretion, confidentiality, sensitivity, and professional judgment
• Ability to learn and teach the use of specialized tracking and appointment system software and project management software.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively presenting standard information in writing, using business standards for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Able to use word processing and software packages at intermediate level and working knowledge of business mathematics.
• Proficient with intermediate use of survey design tools (Alchemer, Anthology, Microsoft Forms) and in maintaining data sets and reports

Responsibilities

55% Assessment and Evaluation: Information gathering and Analysis

  • Design data collection methods, maintain and gather data and information for various purposes including monitoring, coordinating, and reporting on office projects and events.
  • Collect survey results and pull a report or excel spreadsheet (data set) and organize it for reporting purposes.
  • Provide research and assessment strategies, such as online and paper survey construction, implementation, and compilation of results. •
  • Maintain ongoing interaction with Information Technology for upkeep and proper software content of computers and assist staff with the utilization of technology for the program.
  • Facilitate delivery of data to Evaluator and other relevant constituencies, as needed

25% Administrative:

Monitor program and project budgets

  • Generate reports related to project costs and timelines and program engagement
  • Track and report time for student staff and interns
  • Market on-campus interviews, jobs, and internship opportunities available through campus networks to students.
  • Develop and improve office procedures, guidelines, and reporting templates.
  • Develop strategies to inform, motivate and engage students to take responsibility for their career development.
  • Coordinate activities across stakeholders and with Career Services, the Innovation Incubator, and the Service Learning, Internships, and Community Engagement office.
  • Participate in dedicated transfer student/first-generation student/undeclared student/undocumented student activities such as summer retreats and orientations.
  • Partner closely with advising and with the Career Services on programming and employment opportunities.

10% Workforce Integration Program Interns

  • Assist Designer to plan and organize all logistics and communications related to WIP Intern recruitment, and summer programming.
  • Co-Lead WORKFORCE INTEGRATION PROGRAM Interns with Designer by scheduling duties; assist with training; avail self to the team whenever Designer is unavailable.
  • Oversee equipment and supplies needs.

10% Other duties as assigned
