Classification Title: Evaluator I

Classification Salary Range: $3,609 - $5,079 monthly

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience. 

About the Position

The College of Education (COE) is seeking a Program Admissions Evaluator to join the team! Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for COE, the Program Admissions Evaluator will evaluate and process incoming COE (General Education and Teacher Education) postbaccalaureate and graduate applications and Student Teaching applications for undergraduate Liberal Studies Integrated Option students.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Evaluate and process all incoming COE (GED and TED) postbaccalaureate and graduate applications and Student Teaching applications for undergraduate Liberal Studies Integrated Option students.
  • Determine eligibility by verifying various requirements such as exams, transcripts, degree posted, GPA, etc.
  • Provide applicant status updates and notifications.
  • Scan supporting documentation and maintain electronic files for each candidate.
  • Provide assistance and support to faculty and program coordinators.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Equivalent to completion of a formal training program in academic records evaluation OR one year of academic records evaluation experience OR any 12-month combination of training and experience related to academic records evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have expertise in using office software package, technology and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
  • Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and has the ability to handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects and have thorough knowledge of applicable COE and university infrastructure, policies and procedures.

Conditions on Employment

  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status  of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.
  • The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or declare a medical or religious exemption if eligible.
