Position Description

Working Title: Administrative Support Coordinator 

Department Name: Philosophy, Humanities and Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding 

Division: Academic Affairs 

Classification Title: Administrative Support Coordinator I

Classification Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508 per month

The maximum budget for this position is $3,855 per month

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

About the Department/Position:

Under the general supervision of the Academic Resource Manager and in collaboration with the Chair of the Philosophy Department, Program Coordinator of Humanities Program and Chair of the NCRP Department, the incumbent serves as the Department Coordinator to the Chair, Program Coordinator, Faculty, and Students of the programs.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day functions in support of the Philosophy Department, Humanities program and NCRP program.
  • Provide clerical support for the programs/departments. 
  • Assist faculty with administrative functions. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience, typically three years. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Knowledge of modern and standard office procedures, practices, methods, filing systems and records management
  • Knowledge of proper customer service techniques
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse student population.
