Position Description

Classification Title: Administrative Analyst/Specialist Non-Exempt

Classification Salary Range: $3,518 - $6,791 monthly

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

About the Position

The College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences (CNBS) is seeking a Fiscal and HR Analyst to join the talented and diverse team. Under the general supervision of the College Academic Resource Manager (ARM), the incumbent will assist in the overall fiscal and HR operations for the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. General duties include maintaining a tracking and reconciling system for all financial activities, assisting the ARM with faculty and staff HR and payroll functions to ensure compliance with campus policies and procedures, and coordinating activities related to faculty workload data, reporting, and part-time faculty entitlement.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist ARM with the fiscal tasks of CNBS
  • Assist ARM with the HR tasks of CNBS
  • Assist with the day-to day operations of the Dean's office as needed
  • Assist the ARM with special assignments and reports as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs, typically equivalent to 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Public Administration.
  • Experience: Financial and budgetary experience with the CSU system. Three years of experience working in budgeting and finance.

  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status  of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.
  • The person holding this position is considered a `mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
