Position Description

Compliance Support Assistant (Temporary) – Information Technology Compliance

 ** Successful candidates in these temporary appointments may be appointed from a few days up to one year depending on the assignment.  Temporary appointments must end on or before the end of the fiscal year, with the possibility of renewal if funds and/or program needs exist.

Classification Title: Administrative Support Assistant II

Classification Salary Range: $3,338 - $4,913

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $$3,338 - $3,500 per month.

About the Department/Position:

Under the general supervision of the AVP, Security and Compliance CISO/DPO, the Compliance Support Assistant will aid the Security & Compliance office in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating compliance projects in relation to federal and state laws pertaining to Security and Accessibility/Compliance through administrative support.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical project assistance to coordinate the evaluation of provided documentation for compliance.
  • Assists the Security and Compliance office in tracking the procurement review process and coordinates the assessment of campus Information and Communication Technology (ICT) purchase requests.
  • Provides assistance in communicating compliance on the web, instructional materials, and procurement-related issues to the campus community and to the general public as needed.
  • Assists the office in preparing presentations, training, and communications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school program or its equivalent and two years experience in an office environment. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
  • General working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Fluency in using standard office software packages.
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Ability to learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures. Able to identify deviations from applicable policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data reporting analysis skills required - skill in managing and formatting reports in MS Word.
